A workshop to discover the world of stop-motion animation and three of its different techniques: sand animation, animation with drawings made with clay, and collage and cut-out paper animation. Taking us on a journey to different landscapes in Japan, the workshop will also introduce us to the Kanji writing system.

Anna Solanas has worked in the world of animated puppets for 14 years, always side by side with Marc Riba. Together, they established I+G Stop Motion, an independent production company specialising in stop-motion animation and animated dolls. They have directed nine short films and taken part in more than 1,200 festivals on five continents, receiving more than a hundred awards. Their latest works include Grand Prix and La extraordinaria historia de Bruna.
