In this workshop, the participants will make a collective film using something like the “cameraless animation” technique developed in the mid-1950s by artists like Norman McLaren, Len Lye and Stan Brakhage. The name of this technique alludes to the fact that films are drawn/scratched/printed directly onto celluloid instead of being photographed first and then developed.

We will work with paper cash registry rolls, solid gouache and plenty of imagination. Then we will use the Stop Motion Studio app to give movement to all our frames. Hope to see you there!
