The Nature of Invisible Things

Summary

Gloria begins her summer holidays. However, her days are limited to long hours at the hospital where her mother works as a nurse. The routine changes with the arrival of Sofia, a girl her own age who accompanies her great-grandmother, who is hospitalised due to a terminal illness. Sofia, with a mature outlook, wants to fulfil her great-grandmother's wish to return to the family farm. As the friendship between the two girls blossoms, Gloria begins to question life and death, discovering that adults do not always tell the whole truth.

An intimate and lyrical story with touches of humour, about the bonds of friendship, gender identity, matriarchy and chosen family.
