VIVABOOK Lab presents its projects at an open pitch session at CaixaForum Barcelona

The dialogue between children’s literature and audiovisual storytelling continues to grow steadily. On Thursday, January 29, VIVABOOK Lab, the development lab promoted by Mi Primer Festival, will host an open pitch session for professionals at CaixaForum Barcelona, showcasing the selected projects from its first edition.

The event, taking place from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, is designed as a space for presentation, listening and connection between creators, producers, film professionals and cultural journalists interested in the development of audiovisual content for young audiences.

VIVABOOK Lab was created with a clear mission: to support projects at a key stage of development and to foster audiovisual adaptations of children’s literature, highlighting stories with a strong identity, sensitivity and national and international potential.

In this first edition, seven screenwriters will present five projects they have developed over several months through a program of specialized training, mentoring and pitch preparation. The proposals span different formats —feature films, animated series and short films— and explore rich creative worlds such as fantasy, emotional storytelling, contemporary fables and oral tradition.

The session will conclude with an informal networking moment, including refreshments, designed to encourage conversation and the exchange of ideas between creative teams and industry professionals.

A must-attend event for those who believe in the power of well-told stories and in the importance of building high-quality children’s audiovisual content rooted in literature and created for new generations.
