Aurora Maroto Linares

Aurora Maroto Linares is a storyteller and social educator. She was born, grew up and still lives in Madrid. She first encountered storytelling as a teenager, when two storytellers visited her literature class. An hour later, completely captivated, she asked what it took to become a storyteller. And she has been at it ever since: researching, sharing and
opening doors to new stories.
Since 2013, she has been working professionally as a storyteller, performing for children, young people and adults at festivals, libraries, cultural centres and educational venues. Her training in socio-cultural animation, social education and gender-based violence is reflected in the stories she brings to life and in the workshops she runs.
At this festival, she becomes Aurora Claqueta, master of ceremonies, using words as her tool, with a keen ear and a desire to guide the audience as they encounter the stories that come to life on screen.
