Nuria González Blanco

Nuria González Blanco is a screenwriter, director and animation producer. He studied Animation at Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland where he received a nomination for the BAFTA New Talent awards for his animated short Domingueros. In the last fifteen years, Nuria has worked on feature, short, television and advertising projects. To highlight the feature film The Breadwinner, nominated for the Golden Globe® and Oscar® awards; the Emmy® Kids Award-nominated television series Puffin Rock; the prize-winning short films Violet and Late Afternoon, the latter being an IFTA winner and for which Nuria was nominated for an Oscar® as a producer in 2019; and the pre-school series – created and directed by Nuria – Silly Sundays, nominated for the Royal Television Society Awards and recognized with the award for Best New Series at Kidscreen 2025.
