Sara Sponga

Three feature films and around fifty short films have been lit and photographed over the past twenty years, using techniques as varied as puppetry, sand, painting, pixillation, rotoscoping, coffee grounds, cut-out paper, and inventive combinations of these techniques. Each director enjoys creating their own unique and playful approach, and I am happy to support them in the idea of bypassing technical questions to rediscover the simple pleasure of inventing and crafting images, telling stories, conveying emotions and sensations—the joy of cinematic writing—to share with the audience.
