The winners of the 18th edition of My First Film Festival have been revealed

Olívia and the Invisible Earthquake wins the jury and audience awards for best feature film in an edition marked by emerging talent, diversity and the strength of audiovisual storytelling for children.

My First Film Festival announced today the awards for its 18th edition, which was held from November 8 to 23 with more than 125 films, wide family participation and an intense school and professional programming.


Once again, the festival had a mixed jury made up of professionals from the sector and children between 9 and 12 years old, who deliberated together to decide the Jury Awards. At the same time, the young viewers chose the Audience Awards with votes in the room.

The jury highlighted the emotional sensitivity of the film without falling into clichés, the technical richness of its stop-motion animation and the director's ability to convey a story about a deeply complex and adult subject and make it reach all audiences.


The darkest moments can be overcome through collectivity.

The jury valued its tenderness, visual originality and humorous portrayal of a rural universe.

Special Mention: Night Boots



The winning short convinced the jury with its different animation technique and its narrative about the power of imagination. The special mention recognizes The Night Boots for generating a different atmosphere and having visual symbolism.

Hannah and the Crocodile


Awarded for its intelligent, different, metaphorical and close look at a very complex topic such as eating disorders, and because the story is narrated from the point of view of the protagonist's younger sister.
