Peter Mansfelt first came into contact with the world of animation in 1988, when he began to work as a set and prop designer at Toonder Studios, one of the first animation studios in the Netherlands. In 1996, he became co-founder and co-owner of the Pedri Animation studio, with which he has worked on all kinds of productions, including children's series, commercials and feature films. 

He has created around 350 productions at Pedri Animation, many of them going on to win awards at international festivals. In 2019 he started up his own company, Animathing, to pursue his passion: working on all aspects of stop-motion animation, from the creative side to executive duties.
