Music and Creative Reuse
Spain
Rocco Papia (Rome, 1978) is a multifaceted artist: in addition to being a composer and musician who has collaborated with international artists, he creates innovative connections between art, music, and environmental awareness. He carries out activities on the creative reuse of waste in music with the Posidonia Green Project and is the founder of the Cultural Association AYAMOLA and the international collective ISRAW, with which he develops the concept of S.R.A. (Sonic Reuse ArtWorks): sound artworks created with reused materials, such as the sound installation Il Corallo Sonoro.

In 2019, he founded ORT – Orquestra ReuSónica Trío, an eclectic world-jazz trio with Catalan musicians Xavi Lozano and Antonio Sánchez Barranco, and produced the show Musica dall’insolito, focused on the sea, which has already been performed more than 100 times in Spain and abroad.
