The Great Forest Feast arrives in cinemas on March 13

A celebration of friendship, nature and small but meaningful adventures awaits in The Great Forest Feast, a warm and charming animated programme for young audiences arriving in cinemas on March 13.

At the heart of this collection of short films is The Scarecrows’ Wedding, a delightful story based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, creators of beloved children’s characters such as The Gruffalo, Zog and Superworm.

Betty O’Barley and Harry O’Hay are two scarecrows who spend their days protecting their crops from hungry crows. They enjoy each other’s company so much that they decide to organise a grand celebration to mark their love. But preparing the perfect party won’t be easy: they will need the help of all the animals in the forest, and a few unexpected challenges will appear along the way.

Alongside this central story, The Great Forest Feast includes four additional short films starring animals that explore themes such as generosity, respect, empathy and living in harmony with nature. From a cow lovingly cared for in a meadow to a squirrel busy preparing its winter supplies, the stories create a delicate and heart-warming mosaic.

With a running time of 54 minutes and recommended for children aged 3 and up, the film is an ideal first cinema experience for families: a gentle collection of stories that combine humour, emotion and imagination.

A celebration in the heart of the forest where the real heroes are not the strongest, but those who know how to care for others and share the journey.
