David Castro González is a director, producer, and graduate in pedagogy, specializing in stop-motion animation and audiovisual literacy. His short films have competed at festivals such as Sitges, Huesca, Seminci, TIFF, Annecy, and Bogoshorts, and he has been nominated twice for the Goya Awards as an executive producer.
In the educational field, he founded CÍTRICO!Lab, a platform for creative learning through film and art. He has taught at the Instituto del Cine Madrid and ECAM, where he created the Órbita Cine program to integrate cinema into secondary education. He has also collaborated with the Spanish Film Academy on projects related to film and education.
He is currently developing LANA, his first feature film as a director and screenwriter, after taking part in the 6th edition of the Spanish Film Academy Residencies, and is producing new animation projects through his production company, Ácido Cítrico.
