Irene Iborra

Irene Iborra is a prominent screenwriter, director, and stop motion animator born in Barcelona. With training in film screenwriting and animation direction, she is the co-founder of the studio Citoplasmas Stop Motion. She has directed short films such as Citoplasmas en medio ácido and Click, selected at international festivals including Annecy and Clermont-Ferrand. Her first stop motion feature film is Olivia and the Invisible Earthquake, an international co-production that competed in the official section of the 2025 Annecy Festival. This work is also the first Catalan stop motion animated feature directed by a woman.
